The “Kap Chanting” which took place yesterday early morning marking the beginning of Kandy Esala Perahera Festival 2021 was planted today (09) at the four devalaya premises at the auspicious time for this ritual. As the first ritual of the Kandy Esala Perahera Festival comes to an end, the inside procession will commence from today onwards at Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama and Paththini devalaya premises.

ඓතිහාසික කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ මහා පෙරහර ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරමින්, කප කැපීම ඊයේ අළුයම් යාමයේ සිදු වූ අතර එසේ කපා මහනුවර සිව් මහා දේවාල වෙත රැගෙන ආ කප අද(09) අළුයම යෙදුනු සුබ මූර්තියෙන් සිටුවන ලදී. 2021 කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ මහා පෙරහර මංගල්ලය වෙනුවෙන් ප්‍රතමයෙන් ඉටුකළ පුරාතන චාරිත්‍රය එසේ අවසන් වන විට අද දින පටන් නාථ, විශ්ණු, කතරගම හා පත්තිනි යන සිව් මහා දේවාලවල අභ්‍යන්තර පෙරහර ආරම්භ වනු ඇති.
