The Planting of “Kapa” at the four Devalaya premises today.
The “Kap Chanting” which took place yesterday early morning marking the beginning of Kandy Esala Perahera Festival 2022 was planted today (Aug. 17) at the four Devalaya premises at the auspicious time for this ritual. As the first ritual of the Kandy Esala Perahera Festival comes to an end, the inside processions will commence from today onwards at Natha, Vishnu, Kataragama and Paththini Devalaya premises.
සිව් මහා දේවාල වෙත ගෙනා “කප” සුබ මෙහොතින් අද සිටුවන ලදී.
ඓතිහාසික කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ මහා පෙරහර ආරම්භය සනිටුහන් කරමින්, කප කැපීම ඊයේ අළුයම් යාමයේ සිදු වූ අතර එසේ කපා මහනුවර සිව් මහා දේවාල වෙත රැගෙන ආ කප අද (අගෝස්තු 17) අළුයම යෙදුන සුබ මෙ‍ෙහාතින් සිටුවන ලදී. 2023 කන්ද උඩරට ඇසළ පෙරහර මහා මංගල්ලය වෙනුවෙන් ප්‍රථමයෙන් ඉටුකළ පුරාතන චාරිත්‍රය එසේ අවසන් වන විට අද දින පටන් නාථ, විශ්ණු, කතරගම හා පත්තිනි යන සිව්මහා දේවාල අභ්‍යන්තර පෙරහර ආරම්භ වනු ඇති.
